Blue Tansy, also known as Moroccan Chamomile, is a beautiful not blue but yellow flower that originates from Morocco and belongs to the Chamomile family. It has an intensely sweet, woodsy, and refreshing herbal scent. The oil from this flower is naturally a deep blue color when extracted. Chamazulene is the antioxidant compound that is responsible for this oils dark hue. It has been shown to have powerful soothing and restorative affects on the skin. Butterfly Pea flowers contain high concentrations of naturally occurring antioxidants like polyphenols, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. It’s also contains proanthocyanidin, which stimulates the skins natural repair process of collagen and elastin which we slowly lose as we age and are exposed to outer stressors. It contains anti-glycation properties, which is known to slow down skin aging. Manuka honey is more difficult and tedious to extract because the harvest time frame is much shorter than honey you can buy year round- its only about 2-6 weeks long, creating a high demand for this therapeutic honey. Throughout history, honey has been used internally and topically for medicinal and beauty purposes. But Manuka honey in particular is considered by experts to be one of the most beneficial forms of honey on in the world. It's been revered for treatment of serious skin ailments, oral health, and digestive diseases. Documented uses of honey as medicine can be dated back to the Stone Age.
